The Flood!

We were introduced to the Wilson’s Arms, Torver by a couple we know. They invited us to join them there for a “splendid fish and chip feast”. Since then we stop when passing to sample the food and the delicious coffee (served with a generous square of fruit cake.)

Then one day we visited and realised that the red telephone box just in front of the pub was full. Full of water, with a strip of lights, a few plants and the occasional lonely-looking fish!

(One presumes the owner had acquired the telephone box as a traditional cultural icon, then thought that an additional gimmick would be the fish.)

I tried to pick out the wildly overgrown plant pot suspended in the gurgling water plus a sense of the reflections in the glass. One can see the roof in the top left and the display of gifts on the right hand side. Hopefully the two elements - the pot in the water plus the reflections - are balanced.

No fish, though, in this picture. Hmmm.
