Lindisfarne castle - plus couple on bench
O n a brief trip to Lindisfarne I noticed two people sitting on a bench, compared to the rather larger Lindisfarne Castle.
The prospect was irresistible.
Ute - tiny tree giant bluff
W e were travelling in the US, visiting an old friend who has lived in Arizona for many years.
She recommended visiting Canyon de Chelly, in the top right-hand corner of Arizona. After a beautiful visit, we set off again, winding through the bottom right-hand bits of Utah, part of Monument Valley.
Siskin at Kielder
A delightful, quiet holiday on the edge of Kielder Water.
The birds were very active - especially the siskins and I managed to catch one as he paused to say "thankyou" for the tasty treats in the feeder.
This, for me, is just a beautiful picture of a beautiful bird.
Snail on wall
I t's a snail.
On our wall.
The rough stones, the solid bolt-head, the wispy threads - all in contrast to the beautiful, simple shape and subtle colour of the snail.
